Dean's Annual Gift Day

The Dean writes

It is now 30 years since Dean Griffin began the practice of annual gift days in the Cathedral. Over the years much needed funding has been raised from this source thanks to the extraordinary generosity of those who love Saint Patrick's. This tradition has allowed many important projects to be undertaken thus helping to maintain the Cathedral's ancient fabric.

Last year, the funds raised for Gift Day were directed towards the funding of the re-ordering of the Lady Chapel which we hope will re-open in May.

This year, the project is to restore the white high-altar frontal and it is for this that I wish to appeal to you for funding on this gift day. Should the donations that we receive exceed the cost of the restoration of the high-altar frontal I will give the rest of the money to the restoration of Lady Chapel which was my project for last year.

I will be present in the Cathedral on Saturday 22nd June from 11.30 - 13.00 and from 14.30 - 16.00 on the day to receive donations in person. If you are unable to attend, but still feel that you would like to make a donation, then please send a cheque made payable to "Saint Patrick's Cathedral" to the office.
Many thanks for your continued support of Saint Patrick's.
