Saint Patrick’s Cathedral wishes to recruit a Digital Marketing and Events Assistant to join its team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in creating and executing digital marketing campaigns across various channels, including email, social media, website, and other digital platforms.
• Collaborate with the marketing and events team to develop marketing strategies and tactics that support the Cathedral’s mission and goals.
• Contribute to the Cathedral’s social media accounts, including posting regular updates, responding to messages and comments, and monitoring analytics.
• Assist in creating content for the Cathedral’s website, blog, and other digital channels, including writing copy, designing graphics, and editing photos and videos.
• Conduct market research and analyse data to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
• Assist in managing email marketing campaigns, including designing templates, creating content, and analysing performance metrics.
• Monitor and analyse website traffic and user behaviour to identify areas for improvement and optimisation.
• Assist with planning and organising of events.
Requirements:
• A recent graduate or current student pursuing a degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
• Knowledge of digital marketing tactics, including email marketing, social media marketing, and content marketing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
• Basic knowledge of web design, specifically WordPress and other website content management systems.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.

• Strong computer skills – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Design software, Editing software
• Knowledge of Content Management Systems to manage website presence
• Completing or have completed a relevant Third Level Qualification
This is a 12-hour per week fixed term contract for a duration of 11 months.
Compensation: €15 per hour (12 hour week) plus the opportunity to gain valuable experience in a dynamic and fast-paced marketing environment within in the tourism sector for one of the country’s leading attractions.
