The Friends of Saint Patrick’s Cathedral

Members of the Society of the Friends of Saint Patrick’s Cathedral support the life, mission and ministry of the Cathedral. They come from all walks of life and all denominations, but are united by their commitment to Saint Patrick’s Cathedral.  Each Friend’s name is inscribed in the Friends’ Roll, kept on display in the Cathedral. Each week a page of the roll is turned. The activities of the Friends of Saint Patrick’s Cathedral include a Festival Service and a Garden Party in June, visits to places of interest and other fundraising events.

Friends Festival Evensong, Sunday 27th June 2021

The Friends Festival Evensong will be at 3.15 pm on Sunday 27th. It will, unfortunately, due to government restrictions, like last year again be a recorded one. The preacher will be the dean of Limerick and chancellor of St Patrick’s, Very Rev Niall Sloane and the lessons will be read by the secretary of the Friends, Rory Delany and the membership secretary Ruth Thompson. Our grateful thanks to Dean Morton, dean’s vicar Rev Canon Charles Mullen and Master of the Music Mr Stuart Nicholson for making this online service possible.
