CONCERT: International Handbell Ringers

The HRI group consists of 75+ musicians from the United States and Estonia. They have chosen Ireland to carry out their international tour of concerts in Galway, Cobh Co. Cork and Dublin. In many of the European countries, in North America and in Asia there are Handbell Ringers Choirs, which translated means Bells of hand bells. The music they perform is exclusively instrumental and only hand bells of different musicality are used each, as well as different sizes and materials. Occasionally the Bell Choirs are accompanied by organ, piano or keyboards. There are no voices like in a traditional choir and their repertoire is classical music, mostly sacral but where some traditional songs of love and folklore are included.
