Those who wish to use the Cathedral for worship at the daily services may do so without a charge. Those who visit the Cathedral as an attraction are asked to pay a small admission fee. This fee helps to pay for the enormous costs relating to the upkeep of the building. The Cathedral does not receive regular government funding.
The "Life and History" section of the website includes a timeline which details every major event in the Cathedral's history. Some of these events have the option of reading more information and some have videos attached also. Anything queries which are not covered by this section can be directed to education@stpatrickscathedral.ie
Irish Primary, Secondary and Third-level institutions, local community groups or adult education groups can organise a free visit and tour of the Cathedral. This offer does not apply to active retirements groups, foreign language groups, schools from outside the island of Ireland or any groups that charge their members. For more information, go to the education section of the website and browse the current offers to schools.
