We are always delighted to welcome visiting choirs to Saint Patrick’s Cathedral. Both the Cathedral and the city of Dublin have much to offer those who maintain and enhance our daily worship in this way. The Cathedral welcomes applications from visiting choirs throughout July and August during the Cathedral Choir’s vacation, also the week following Christmas & Easter, and the October Bank Holiday weekend (usually the last week of October).
Weekday Evensong is at 17.30. Normally there are no sung services on Saturdays, nor on Wednesdays during July and August. It is usually possible to accommodate a visiting choir for a weekday or for a group of weekdays during July or August. Equally, choirs are most welcome to take up residence for a week, culminating in the Sunday services.
Accommodation is easily found in Dublin, and there are a wide range of hotels, hostels and other establishments within easy reach of the Cathedral to suit every budget.
Those who are interested in bringing their choir to Saint Patrick’s are invited to make contact with the Cathedral office by emailing tours@stpatrickscathedral.ie as early as possible. It is useful if a specific set of dates can be given at the outset.
