A landmark musical collaboration, curated specially for the first-ever JLF Island of Ireland, this concert unites an elite artistry across India and Ireland. The project features Aga Khan Music Award winner Soumik Datta on sarod alongside the Fedora Prize-winning composer and pianist Michael Gallen and bodhrán virtuoso Cormac Byrne. This “India-Ireland” power trio represents a world-class cultural bridge, blending Datta’s mastery of the nineteen stringed fretless sarod with the driving folk rhythms of Ireland’s premier percussionist, underscored by cinematic and pulsing, contemporary piano.
