Family Workshop – Medieval Calligraphy

Step back in time to the medieval ages! In this workshop, children will explore the history of medieval writing. 

Learn all about how paper, ink, and quills were made in the past. Touch real  materials like parchment and oak gall ink. Try your hand at medieval writing using an authentic quill!

Using their new calligraphy skills, children will make personalised name plates to take home and enjoy. 

This workshop is ideal for children 8 and up. All children must be accompanied by an adult. 

Workshops run for approximately 60 minutes. All materials will be provided. Booking is essential.
