Explore two historic sites on one tour! Led by Kryzel Bonifacio (Education Officer, Saint Patrick’s Cathedral) and Amy Boylan (Librarian, Marsh’s Library), this 1-hour tour dives into the Huguenot history that connects our neighbouring institutions.

Starting off at Saint Patrick’s Cathedral, you’ll hear about the history of Huguenot settlement in the area and explore the beautiful Lady Chapel. Once known as the French Chapel, it served as a sanctuary for Huguenot refugees fleeing religious persecution in the 17th-19th centuries.

Moving on to a tour of Marsh’s library, you will hear a personal story of the first keeper, Élie Bouhéreau, a French doctor and Huguenot, and how he became the first librarian of Ireland’s first public library.

This highly sought-after tour fills up quickly, so booking in advance is essential to secure your place. If your preferred session is sold out, feel free to email education@stpatrickscathedral.ie who may be able to advise on availability.
