As part of this years Cultute Date with Dublin 8 festival, discover the life and legacy of one of Ireland’s greatest writers with a special guided tour of Saint Patrick’s Cathedral and the historic Deanery, once home to Jonathan Swift. This unique experience invites visitors to step into Swift’s world, exploring the spaces where he lived, worked, and wrote, including the cathedral where he served as Dean and is now laid to rest.

Led by an expert guide, the tour brings to life Swift’s extraordinary story, from his literary achievements, including Gulliver’s Travels, to his complex personality and lasting influence on Dublin and beyond. Visitors will gain rare insight into 18th-century life, the role of the cathedral in Swift’s time, and the private world of the Deanery, not usually open to the public.
