21st Century Technology Meets 13th Century Building

November 3, 2016  Posted in: News

Any visitor to the Cathedral knows how beautiful its surrounds are, including the grounds, Saint Patrick’s Close, and the adjacent park, especially at this time of year. Anyone lucky enough to have visited our tower will also know that the panoramas from the top are spectacular, revealing the city all the way to the Dublin Mountains.

To capture the Cathedral in context, yesterday we brought in Lensmen Photography to take aerial drone shots of the outside of the Cathedral. With clearance from Dublin Airport, Lensmen flew the drone up to the top of the tower and around the grounds of the Cathedral.

The footage we saw looks absolutely brilliant and we can’t wait to share it with you when it’s ready in a few weeks.
