Christmas Tree Festival at Saint Patrick’s Cathedral

October 27, 2017  Posted in: Fundraising, News

The celebration of Christmas at Saint Patrick’s Cathedral is synonymous, in its rich meaning, appeal, and charm, with exquisite music in an historic setting and alluring architecture of a building greatly loved.

This year, from the beginning of December through to the end of the first week in January, this experience will be greatly augmented by a most innovative and imaginative event in which local businesses, organisations, and other groups will contribute a decorated Christmas tree or wreath.

Through sponsorship provided by generous donations, we will be enabled to engage the people within our community and edify the social fabric of the Church, while at the same time making essential improvements to this significant building for generations to come.

The Christmas Tree Festival will be launched on Friday 1st December as a ticketed event. Christmas Festival Family Nights will be held on the evenings of 20th – 22nd December after Evensong the Cathedral open to the public from 18.15 – 21.00 free of charge on these nights. . Please do come and visit to see the trees and wreaths displayed throughout the building. There will be a Christmas Gift shop open during this period.
