Dean’s Gift Day

  • Sat 26 Jun
  • 11.00

Join us for the Dean’s Gift Day, our annual fundraising appeal to support essential projects in the Cathedral. The focus of this year’s Gift Day is worship, and the conservation of several important features in the Cathedral:

  • The re-adaptation of the choir stall candle lights from oil burning to LED lighting. These lights were kindly donated by Dean Griffin, and his family, in memory of his late wife, Daphne.
  • The refurbishment of the pew runners
  • The repair, or re-upholstery, of the kneelers in the cathedral.
  • The repair of the locks in the box pews.

Regarding this year’s appeal, Dean Morton said: “I am deeply conscious of your faithful giving to this appeal over the years, and to so many other good causes as well; I assure you, your support will be deeply appreciated in conserving these features of Saint Patrick’s Cathedral to the glory of God, and for the benefit of worshippers now and in the future.”

If you would like to contribute in person on that day you will be most welcome to avail of some refreshments in the Deanery garden between 11.00 a.m. and 1.00 p.m. when strawberries and cream, and a glass of prosecco/soft drinks will be served. Attendance will be limited in accordance with government restrictions.
