Heritage Week Workshops: Charcoal Sketching Evening
- Heritage Week
- Tue 18 Aug
- 18:30-20:00
- Free
- Registration required
As part of National Heritage Week, join us for a special evening of art, observation, and creativity at Saint Patrick’s Cathedral.
Drawing invites us to slow down and look deeply around us, to observe shapes, lights, and textures that often go unnoticed in the rush of daily life. Drawing is a way of connecting deeply with a place, experiencing it through our own hands and eyes.
In this relaxed workshop, you’ll explore the Cathedral’s breathtaking interior through the art of charcoal sketching. An experienced artist will guide you through the basics of architectural drawing as you wander the space and choose your favourite viewpoint to sketch.
All materials will be provided. No previous experience is necessary, all levels of sketchers are welcome!
Entrance for this event will be at the Cathedral’s Main Entrance on St Patrick’s Close. This is a drop-in session running from 18:30-20:00, but there will be a short introduction and sketching guide at 18:30.
Advanced booking is required.
