Join us for a free workshop co-hosted by Saint Patrick’s Cathedral and Marsh’s Library, aimed for adults!
In this 2-hour bookmaking workshop, you will create your own handsewn A6 sized casebound notebook with lace bookmark. Learn the simple techniques for constructing your textblock using French links and kettle stitches. You will finally create your own casebinding to produce a unique book to use as a notebook, sketchbook or journal to take home.
NB: All materials and tools will be provided, however if you have a particular A4-sized decorative paper, wrapping paper, wallpaper, etc. that you want to use as a cover, please bring it along.
This workshop will take place in the Deanery Mews Building, our workshop space located just across the road from the Cathedral. To access it, please use the door on Saint Patrick’s Close, directly opposite the churchyard. A member of staff will be there to welcome you in!
Advanced booking is required and spaces are limited.
