The Cathedral’s Education Department has begun a recruitment drive for new education facilitator volunteers. The Department is responsible for the delivery of a variety of services to those who want to learn more about the Cathedral’s life and history. It has been the tradition that every Dean of Saint Patrick’s has an official portrait painted. Dean Morton’s portrait has recently been completed by Kilkenny painter, Blaise Smith. The portrait will be on display in the Royal Hibernian Academy for a period of time, after which it will be afforded its place in the deanery.
The Cathedral’s crest has been registered with the Chief Herald’s Office and the beautifully illustrated confirmation of arms was presented to the Dean on 26 of February
